Celebrate Mother’s Day at Thaba

17th April 2026
Mothers Day Experience at Thaba Eco Hotel
Driving on the M1 towards Sandton, you may have noticed the giant words painted on the side of a building: “Phone Your Mother.”

If you are still fortunate enough to do that, you should.

This year, do a little more… treat her to your undivided attention and a well-deserved, delicious spoil.

At Kraal Restaurant, Mother’s Day is not just lunch, it’s an experience, an opportunity to pause, reconnect, and create new memories. One that unfolds gently, surrounded by open landscapes, warm hospitality, and thoughtful touches at every turn.

A Table Set for Sharing Stories

Join us for a beautifully curated three-course lunch or dinner experience at R520 per person.

From the moment you arrive, the details are taken care of:
  • Complimentary table bread service
  • A Savy Spritz or Blush Crush to toast the occasion (1 jug per 6 guests)
  • Still or sparkling water per table
  • HER Wine Promotion at R220 per bottle

And then, like the day, the menu unfolds.

A curated selection, with each guest invited to choose one dish from each course.

Starters

Begin with bold, comforting, and beautifully layered flavours:
  • Thai Mussels in a fragrant red curry coconut sauce with toasted ciabatta
  • Sticky Wings with sweet-spicy glaze, avocado and charred corn salsa
  • Chicken Korma on warm naan with mint yoghurt and tomato jam
  • Halloumi & Zucchini Skewers with lemon and parsley

Mains

Hearty, generous plates designed for sharing moments:
  • Durban-style Lamb Curry with cumin rice and warm naan
  • Chicken & Rib Combo with chips and your choice of basting
  • Grilled Prawns served with chips, vegetables, or salad
  • Creamy Mushroom Pasta with parmesan and penne

Desserts

A sweet finish, as every celebration deserves one:
  • Citrus-infused Crème Brûlée with hazelnut brittle
  • Decadent Chocolate Torte with caramel, strawberries, and cream
  • Blueberry Cheesecake on a coconut crumb base
This is not a rushed meal. It’s one to settle into. To enjoy between conversations, laughter, and new memories made.
